Richard Morris of the Full Marriage Equality group believes that having sexual, romantic relationships between parents and their kids is completely normal and should be legal.
Other advocates of the group also believe you should be able to marry your own kids.
Supporters of the cause include a mother in New York who is currently attempting to marry her own son as well as a Michigan mother that has ‘mind blowing sex’ with her son.
Incest is a third-degree felony under New York law, punishable by up to four years behind bars, and incestuous marriages are considered void, with the spouses facing a fine and up to six months in jail.
Marriage licenses in the five boroughs require potential spouses to list their birth parents and attest there are “no legal impediments to the marriage,” according to the City Clerk’s Office.
One argument from the group:
“It is absurd to say that an adult can’t consent to marry their parent. That same adult can be sent to war, take on six or seven figures of debt, operate heavy machinery, be sentenced to death by a federal court, and consent to sex with five strangers (and marriage with one of them) but can’t consent to marry someone they love?”
“In some of these cases, the genetic parent didn’t raise them and they met for the first time two years ago. Allegations of ‘grooming’ are laughable attempts to deny someone their rights even though it will have no impact on the person objecting.”
Grooming – Child grooming is befriending and establishing an emotional connection with a child, and sometimes the family, to lower the child’s inhibitions with the objective of sexual abuse.
Not only is this grooming, but in fact pedophilia.
US law states that while pedophilia itself does not give rise to criminal liability, acting on it does. Many jurisdictions make it a felony to engage in sexual contact with minors, which would be an example of acting on pedophilia.
With the popularization of the gay and transgender lifestyle, groups like these are becoming emboldened and believe that their time for ‘equality’ is coming soon.
